Get Ready to Spring Forward...

Spring Reset: Refresh Your Body, Mind, and Fitness Goals
Spring is finally here! The days are getting longer, the sun is shining brighter, and everything around us is starting to bloom. Just like nature, this season is the perfect time to hit the reset button—not just on your home and closet but on your body, mind, and fitness goals.
Instead of trudging forward on autopilot, take advantage of this time of renewal. Let’s shake off the winter blues, re-energize your routine, and embrace the season with a fresh, healthy approach!
Adjust Your Body to the Time Change
Springing forward sounds great in theory—more daylight, more opportunities to be outside—but that one-hour shift can wreak havoc on your sleep, energy levels, and motivation. If you’ve been feeling a little sluggish, you’re not alone. Here’s how to adjust smoothly:
✅ Shift Your Sleep Schedule Gradually – If you’re struggling with the time change, adjust your bedtime and wake-up time by 15-minute increments until your body adapts.
✅ Stick to a Routine – Going to bed and waking up at the same time every day (yes, even on weekends!) keeps your circadian rhythm in check and helps you feel energized.
✅ Ditch the Screens Before Bed – Blue light from phones, tablets, and TVs can mess with your melatonin production. Try to unplug at least an hour before bed.
✅ Get Moving in the Morning – Light exercise (even a quick 5-minute stretch or a short walk) helps signal to your body that it’s time to wake up and get going.

Spring Clean Your Fitness Routine
If you’ve been stuck in a winter rut, now’s the time to shake things up! Your workouts should be just as fresh and vibrant as the season.
🌱 Take It Outdoors – Swap the treadmill for a brisk walk or jog outside and soak up that vitamin D. Need extra motivation? Join a small group training session at inMotion Training Studio and keep yourself accountable!
🌱 Incorporate Mobility & Flexibility – Warmer weather means more outdoor activities. Prioritize mobility work to stay injury-free and improve movement quality. (Hint: Try our new M7 Movement Method mobility classes!)
🌱 Boost Your Strength Training – Summer is around the corner, and this is the perfect time to build lean muscle, improve posture, and torch body fat. If you’ve been lifting the same weights for months, increase the resistance and challenge yourself.
🌱 Try a New Modality – Stuck in a cardio-only routine? Add some strength training, Pilates, or HIIT. Been lifting but neglecting flexibility? Join a stretch and mobility class to improve recovery.

Spring Clean Your Pantry (and Your Nutrition!)
Out with the old, in with the new—this goes for your diet, too! If your pantry is still stocked with comfort foods from winter, it’s time for a refresh.
🥦 Declutter & Restock – Toss processed snacks and replace them with nutrient-dense options like nuts, seeds, protein bars, and fresh produce.
🥚 Prioritize Protein – Aiming for 20-30 grams of protein per meal helps maintain muscle, regulate blood sugar, and keep you fuller longer. Need easy options? Hard-boiled eggs, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, and protein shakes are great go-tos.
💧 Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate – Warmer weather means you need more water. Aim for half your body weight in ounces daily and add electrolytes if you’re sweating a lot.
🥗 Add Color to Your Plate – Spring is the perfect time to load up on seasonal fruits and veggies packed with antioxidants and fiber to support gut health and reduce inflammation.

Set (or Reset) Your Goals
Spring is the perfect checkpoint to reassess your fitness and health goals. If you set New Year’s resolutions that have fizzled out, don’t beat yourself up—just pivot and start fresh.
💪 Instead of saying, “I want to lose weight,” try:
✔️ “I will work out 3x a week.”
✔️ “I will eat protein at every meal.”
✔️ “I will drink 80 oz of water daily.”
✨ Focus on actions, not just outcomes. Small, consistent changes will add up to big results.
Spring Forward with Energy & Motivation
Spring isn’t just a season—it’s a mindset. A time for renewal, energy, and positive change. Instead of dreading the time change or feeling stuck in a rut, use this time to reset, recharge, and recommit to your goals.
