HEY ALL! I WANTED TO TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO INTRODUCE MYSELF.

Hey all! Since I started posting on here I thought I should introduce myself…. I’m Shannon and own inMotion and am the primary writer of this BLOG!

I’ve been a fitness & nutrition coach since 1999. EEK…Basically since college I have been in the industry!

Yep, I’ve been doing this for more years than I’d care to count

But like most people, I’m not perfect- surprising I know…injuries, fitness, lack of motivation and figuring it all out along the way.

This journey can be a serious roller coaster that I get all too well as I have done many of the “diets”. BUT have finally figured out the secret sauce to weight loss & love to share it!

And that’s why I’m so passionate about what I do and helping clients find sustainable ways to lose the weight, get fit, and eat in a healthy way…

…while also dispelling the myths that keep you stuck. It took awhile but after years of trial and error & making it WAY harder than it should be- I have figured it out.

I really can’t imagine doing anything else with my life and I’m so honored you’re here reading this

So here’s a few interesting facts about me:

1. I love

And if you think I eat clean and perfect all the time – think again! Last I checked I’m human and I love food just as much as anyone else.

2. I have been married to Seth for over 15 years- You’ll never see him on here and we’re down to 2 crazy dogs (we use to have 4 and 2 cats.)

3. There are MANY days I don’t feel like working out. I mean the bed is super comfy! But I do it because I love how it feels and I want to be able to keep doing the things I love as I get older – playing volleyball.

4. I am born and raised in Bend- yes one of the few…hence the love of beer

I love the warmer weather but also the seasons… so the PNW is where I will most likely always live or come home to! I have lived in AK& MT and SD for a hot second…

5. And this is probably the one most people find shocking – I don’t ski or snowboard. I know…After 2 ACL’S you just don’t take the risk- but that is why I love working with people with injuries and have made it my mission to not only specialize in it but also Active aging- most of my clients are over 40 if not 50,60,70 and my oldest is almost 89.

6. I was super shy and quiet growing up.. I would say until I was in about 4th/5th grade. I was so quiet in 1st grade they wanted to hold me back… I didn’t talk alot when I was really young- only to my sister so my mom knew I didn’t have anything wrong…I happen to be really good at sports- give me a ball and I could keep up with all the boys or even beat them most of the time. Don’t even get me started on 4 square I was pretty much unstoppable except for one of my best friends Jason- he could keep me on my toes…My other friends Mei Lin & Wendy were really athletic but in different ways– gymnast and good at everything I hated…running long distance, skiing, jungle bars etc… I also liked to sing and was actually ok where I can carry a tune- I’m no Christina Agulara but more of the back up singer that can harmonize:) But it really helped me get out of my shell oh and I think I had one line in the Christmas Carol- go me…and hosted our 5th grade Tea party- so somewhere around that time was when I started to become who I am competitive athlete – although not as competitive as I use to be that love to sing in the car and listens to alot of different types of music.

Do you have anything fun or interesting that you want to share??
