Why Semi-Private Training? Because Your Workout Should Be as Unique as You Are! At inMotion Training Studio, we know one-size-fits-all workouts don’t work—especially for women over 40. Everyone starts at a different place, has different goals, and some are working around injuries. So why should you all be doing the same workout?
That’s where our semi-private personal training comes in. It’s the best of both worlds:
✅ Personalized Programming – Your workout is designed specifically for your needs, not the group’s. Your workout is completely tailored to YOU—your goals, your fitness level, your injuries, and your needs.
✅ A small-group setting (2-5 people), but everyone follows their own individualized plan with expert coaching and accountability.
✅ Expert Coaching & Accountability – Get the attention and guidance you need to progress safely and effectively.
✅ How is this is different from a group class? You are not doing the same workout as everyone else. Every movement is chosen for you, making it the best option for those who need a truly personalized approach to strength, mobility, and injury prevention.
✅ Affordable – You get all the benefits of 1:1 coaching without the high price tag since the cost is shared among the group but the training is still specific and tailored to you.
And most importantly? We focus on what works for adults over 40—progressive strength, mobility, and conditioning that supports hormonal balance, longevity, and injury prevention.
CrossFit did a nice job at popularizing strength training, kettlebells, and barbells. We certainly use those modalities. However, we don’t do a workout of the day and include metabolic conditioning, active recovery and recovery sessions in our schedule and programming. We personalize each routine to the individual and their starting point. Will you see similar equipment? Sure. But it’s not the equipment that makes inMotion special, it’s the coaching, accountability, and community.
At inMotion, we know everyone starts from a different place. Some of our members are dealing with injuries or movement restrictions, some haven’t trained in years, and others are ready to push to the next level. A big, cookie-cutter class just doesn’t account for all that.
That’s why we created semi-private personal training. You’ll get a program personalized to your body, your goals, and your starting point—while simply sharing the time (and lowering the cost) with a few others.
It’s personal training made more affordable, without losing the coaching, support, and results you need.
That’s our specialty. If you were perfectly fit and knew what to do you wouldn’t need to come here. We modify each person’s routine based on their goals, starting points and injuries.
Yes, yes you do. Every single visit is with a coach that way we can tell you what to do, make sure you’re doing it right, and be there to support you.
We have a range of memberships that bill monthly or weekly. Our memberships range based on how many sessions you want to use per month, and how long you commit to. Once we know your goals and schedule we can recommend a membership for you.
We have over 25 sessions a week, with multiple coaches running sessions all day long. We start at 6 am (starting in Jan.) and go until 6:15 pm during the week, with sessions all throughout the day. We also have times on Saturday sessions and will add more as needed!
Shannon has been TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) Golf certified for over 18 years, helping golfers improve mobility, strength, and performance both on and off the course.
And it’s not just golf—pickleball players face similar challenges with rotation, balance, and injury prevention. At inMotion, we apply the same science-based approach to keep you strong, mobile, and playing your best—whether that’s on the course or the court.

I mean, we have equipment and such, but other than that…no…not really. We don’t offer open access where you can come and go as you please. We require all our clients to schedule their workouts on our app, that way all of their workouts are with a coach so they can be fully supported at each and every visit.
The majority of our clients are 40+, BUT we have many that are in their 30’s and we also coach middle and high school athletes on occasion as I used to be a coach and college athlete. We find that we attract clients who are intimidated by the typical gym or just don’t like how crowded they are. They need coaching, they need support. That’s not to say we don’t have younger clients who also have those needs, but our niche is definitely fitness over 40.
At inMotion, cardio and conditioning are always part of the plan—but how it looks depends on you.
We can program cardio sessions directly into your semi-private training, or create separate conditioning sessions if that’s a better fit. Since everyone is different, we take into account:
Some members already do plenty outside the gym (hiking, skiing, pickleball, biking).
Some don’t do anything yet and need a structured starting point.
Some have equipment at home—though let’s be honest, sometimes it doesn’t get used unless we make it part of the plan.
Either way, your conditioning is customized as part of your overall program. Plus, heading into the fall and winter, we’ll be adding a few focused conditioning sessions so you can build stamina, heart health, and energy—even when the weather keeps you indoors.
Yes, we have a Holistic Health Coach that specializes in Perimenopause & Menopause, weight loss, habits and function nutrition and metabolism.
Claim our current 30 day trial offer by clicking the red button below and filling out the form or sign up for our FREE Success Session. From there a member of our team will reach out to learn more about you, and your goals, and see if we’re a good fit for you.
It really depends—which is why we program and meet with every client before they start. We assess their goals, lifestyle, starting point, injuries, muscle imbalances, and more to ensure their workouts are safe, effective, and tailored to their needs. Check out this blog post for a few examples:
